Seriously? 20 weeks already?

Your baby has grown as big as a banana. (Length: about 6 1/2 inches from head to bottom, and 10 inches from head to heel.)
I had my 20 week ultrasound on Tuesday and it was awesome. I actually got through the whole thing without having to have her let me get up and pee. go me! baby was measuring 2 days bigger than gestation, but that's not a huge number at all so no worries. I still have a feeling this baby is going to be over 9lbs. It had its legs crossed indian-style so they were having trouble figuring out if it's a boy or a girl, but since I didn't want to know anyway, that was all right. I think she checked to make sure that everything was developing correctly but if she figured it out she didn't tell me. I got some cool pictures, including a 3-D one, and unfortunately I haven't gotten my scanner hooked up yet so they're not in this post. I should be able to do that this weekend. Hopefully. Well, here's the stats and whatnot. It's all downhill from here, right? lol
How far along? 20 weeks
Due Date: August 13, 2010
Total weight gain/loss: since my scale has decided to be stupid i have no idea. maybe doug will fix it for me when he gets home...
Total inches gain: tape measure says i'm about the same. weird. i FEEL bigger...lol
Maternity clothes? mostly all i wear.
Sleep: as long as i can breathe and i'm in a good position, i'm mostly ok.
Best moment this week: my ultrasound on tuesday! coolest thing ever.
Food cravings: fruit. and star crunches. Food aversions: not a whole lot specifically
Gender: well i was strong and didn't find out on tuesday, though i'm still feeling boy.
Labor Signs: just occasional cramping
Belly Button in or out? in
What I miss: coffee *sniffles*
What I am looking forward to: more frequent movements, and starting to get the house ready
Milestones: well we're half way done now, i'd say that's a HUGE milestone:) though I know the next 20 weeks will both soar and creep by. the second half is always longer than the first.
Other: baby kicks a lot more now and it amuses me:)

19w3d picture update

alright here it is, the first picture in what, a month or so? i'm really bad at taking one every week, though i probably should. lol. in any case, i'm already to the point where i look down and all i see is my belly. bending over is a feat all in its own. anyway sorry that i'm wearing a dark shirt on a dark background it makes it a little harder to see but eh, we took the picture at like 10 pm and i wasn't really thinking about that lol. and wow...i think it's just bc of the way my shirt was bunching in the back but my butt looks huge...lol in any case next update will include ultrasound pics!

19 weeks

Your baby equals a large heirloom tomato in size and weighs 8 1/2 ounces. (length: 6 inches, head to bottom)
Hmn. baby is a tomato this week. it's amazing to think, when looking a ruler to see how big 6 inches actually is, how fast this baby is growing. 6 weeks ago it was only 3 inches long. I have this feeling that at delivery this baby is going to be over 9 lbs...
How far along? 19 weeks
Due Date: August 13, 2010
Total weight gain/loss: same as last week, still -2 total. though according to my dr i have gained 4 lbs. (they didn't start weighing me until i had lost weight though).
Total inches gain: +.5 from last week
Maternity clothes? yessir
Sleep: i'm actually getting a decent amount now, mostly. it's kind of nice.
Best moment this week: my dr apt on wednesday, we got to hear the heartbeat (which i recorded on my phone!) and scheduled my next ultrasound, which will be next tuesday
Movement: either it's a baby or an alien trying to take over my body, because it's not so subtle anymore
Food cravings: this week it's been taco bell
Food aversions: not a whole lot specifically
Gender: this week kaety told my mom that it's a boy.
Labor Signs: just cramping
Belly Button in or out? in, though i've had to change to the most plain barbell i own because nothing else fits
What I miss: coffee
What I am looking forward to: tuesday is my ultrasound:)
Milestones: last night for the first REAL time, baby has made its presence known enough that doug could feel it kicking around. it was awesome.
Other: it was kind of funny the other day, i was trying to do homework and my book was resting on my belly...well apparently baby didn't like that because it kept bumping the book like every 2 minutes.
picture will be taken this weekend i promise!

week 18

Your baby is as big as a bell pepper and weighs almost 7 ounces. (Length: 5 1/2 inches, head to bottom.)
I have been going back and forth over the last few weeks whether or not I should take a class this summer to make up for the fall semester that I'm taking off when baby gets here. Doug finally convinced me that I have a whole lot to do this summer without the added stress of homework and preparing for finals at the same time as I'd be going into labor. I know I say this every week but time is really flying. 2 weeks and we're half done. Only 22 weeks to go. That both seems like forever away and just around the corner. Anyway enough of that. Here are this week's stats:
How far along? 18 weeks
Due Date: August 13, 2010
Total weight gain/loss: +1 from last week, -2 total now. i'm at about 153.
Total inches gain: +.5 from last week, putting me at about 38.5 inches.
Maternity clothes? pretty much all the time. nothing else fits.
Sleep: i'm not having to pee so much anymore which is good
Best moment this week: this morning before i got out of bed baby was doing somersaults or something and it was kind of awesome.
Movement: more and more every day:)
Food cravings: cheesy stuff
Food aversions: basically the same, i have to go on a case-by-case basis
Gender: i'm totally feeling boy.
Labor Signs: just cramping
Belly Button in or out? in
What I miss: coffee *sigh*
What I am looking forward to: my apt on wednesday when we will schedule my next ultrasound:)
Milestones: baby is big enough now that you can tell its' gender. pretty cool.
Other: the kids always want to kiss my belly and kaety keeps telling me when her clothes are too small the baby can have them. it's really cute.
I'll try to get a pic up here soon, as it's been a few weeks. I need to find batteries for my camera...

week 17

Your baby weighs 5 ounces this week -- about as much as a turnip. (Length: 5 inches, head to bottom.)
So for those of you who didn't hear, the last few weeks I've been having abdominal cramping and when I woke up on Tuesday the pain was pretty much excruciating. After much debate and not being able to see my dr that day Doug and I went to the ER about 6:30 Tuesday night. The nurses were awesome this time and I was treated by none other than a Dr. Shepard. Totally entertaining. After a serious of tests and minor contractions that lasted about 2 hours they concluded that i had the very start of a UTI but didn't know what was causing the rest of the pain. We had an ultrasound to check the baby (mostly because they couldn't find the hand-held monitor) and so that was a nice surprise. Ultrasounds are so much cooler when you're not just looking at a bean shape. Anyway, we got out of there about 11:30 or so and I saw my dr the next afternoon. I've been told to keep my activity and stress lvls down (no bed rest just take it easy) and to call if the pain gets any worse. The last 2 days haven't been too bad I'm just so tired. That concludes my ER story, now to the update...
How far along? 17 weeks
Due Date: August 13, 2010
Total weight gain/loss: same as last week, still -3. which i don't get because I'm eating, not throwing up, and obviously getting bigger...
Total inches gain: +1.5 from last week
Maternity clothes? nothing else really fits, except for the few shirts that we bought because they are super long.
Sleep: the past few nights have been better
Best moment this week: ultrasound at the ER was awesome, baby waved at us.
Movement: yes, baby has made its presence known.
Food cravings: same...orange juice is the best...
Food aversions: basically the same, i have to go on a case-by-case basis
Gender: both doug and i got a complete "boy" feeling from the ultrasound. but we'll have to wait and see!
Labor Signs: had very minor contractions tuesday night but everything is ok
Belly Button in or out? in, but getting flatter, lol
What I miss: my morning cup of coffee.
What I am looking forward to: the next 2 big things are the ultrasound and hitting 20 weeks...i can't believe this is almost half over already...
Milestones: baby's cartilage is changing into bone and sweat glands are developing...i think that's pretty cool
Other: kaety keeps telling me that she loves my baby and she always wants to know where it is and when we are getting it out. it amuses me.

16 weeks

Your baby measures up to an avocado, now, and weighs 3 1/2 ounces. (Length: 4 1/2 inches, head to bottom.)
I've finally hit the stage where I am forgetting everything, and dropping (or spilling) things that normally wouldn't be that hard to hold on to. As I write this, baby pushed out, saying thank you I guess for the hot chocolate (which, of course, I managed to spill everywhere. Thankfully there was only a little left in the mug). Anyway. Here it is, week 16...
How far along? 16 weeks
Due Date: August 13, 2010
Total weight gain/loss: -1 from last week, -3 total
Total inches gain: +.5 from last week
Maternity clothes? my new pants from Old Navy are incredibly comfortable. And I love the long tank tops that I got...they actually cover everything. lol. My nightgown can't be beat either.
Sleep: what's that? I miss it...
Best moment this week: definitely heard baby with the stethoscope. doug heard it too. it was awesome.
Movement: i usually feel it after i eat or when i'm laying down.
Food cravings: orange flavored things. arbys. and licorice.
Food aversions: nothing terrible like before. some things are hit or miss though and i have to go on a case by case basis.
Gender: i've had 3 different people tell me they think it's a boy.
Labor Signs: just cramping like normal. it doesn't really worry me, i just wish it wasn't so frequent.
Belly Button in or out? Still in. i've never really gotten an outie.
What I miss: caffeine. and being able to eat more than 4 bites of something.
What I am looking forward to: having the bigger movements start, and my next ultrasound should be here in a few weeks.
Milestones: baby's development has skyrocketed. it totally looks like a tiny person and things are starting to get proportional. and toenails are starting to grow:)
Other: the kids are really getting into this whole thing and want to kiss my stomach all the time. logan doesn't really understand why i can't pick him up as much as before but since kaety is getting excited, he is too. it's fun:)

Week 15

Your baby has grown to the size of an apple and weighs about 2 1/2 ounces. (Length: 4 inches, head to bottom.)
I know I've said this before but it seems like this time is flying. In 5 weeks I am halfway done already. That is both an exciting and terrifying thought. I have sooooo much to do this summer to get ready for this baby.
How far along? 15 weeks
Due Date: August 13, 2010
Total weight gain/loss: about the same as last week, still -2
Total inches gain: +.5 from last week
Maternity clothes? I ordered some really cute tank tops, a pair of jeans, and a nightgown from Old Navy and they are so comfortable. The pants are still slightly big but I don't think it will take very long for them to fit!
Sleep: I'm up all the time to pee, and my stomach has to be supported by a pillow
Best moment this week: Dr apt yesterday when I got to hear baby again, heartbeat was 168 bpm. The little stinker wouldn't sit still though and we had to keep following it with the Doppler. At my next visit we will schedule my ultrasound:)
Movement: yup:) the flutters are so much fun.
Food cravings: orange flavored things.
Food aversions: not to bad anymore, I can at least cut and cook onions now without gagging. And though mustard still doesn't taste the same, it's not making me sick anymore.
Gender: the guess this week is alien twins.
Labor Signs: none, just cramping (to which I have been given orders to sit down when it starts until it goes away)
Belly Button in or out? Still in
What I miss: coffee. and caffeinated pop. and the occasional glass of wine. lol
What I am looking forward to: Doug being able to feel the movements.
Milestones: I finally announced this week to my facebook friends that we are pregnant.
Other: It's getting harder and harder to do daily things like pick up Logan, clean my house, do anything that requires me to stand for more than 15 minutes because my feet turn purple and I get really tired. Oh well. I just have to be careful.

Week 14

Your baby, now as long as a lemon, weighs about 1 1/2 ounces. (Length: 3 1/2 inches, head to bottom.)
Well so far so good for the start of this second trimester. I can't believe how fast this is going. I have a belly picture from week 11 and I will have one from today that I will post as soon as I find my camera. Other than that, here's the update!
How far along? 14 weeks
Due Date: August 13, 2010
Total weight gain/loss: Since my scale is being stupid I don't know for sure, but 2 days ago I was at about +1 from last week, -2 total now...so we'll go with that...
Total inches gain: +1.5 from last week
Maternity clothes? I really need to order those pants....
Sleep: I have to be in a specific position with my pillows otherwise it just doesn't work
Best moment this week: It may have been for only a few seconds, but I got to hear baby with my stethoscope. It was awesome.
Movement: I know Doug can't feel it yet and won't be able to for a few more weeks, but it's the coolest thing to feel it bumping around in there.
Food cravings: fruit (especially oranges/apples) and cheetos.
Food aversions: same as before
Gender: Doug keeps saying it will be a squid so we need to get a fishtank for it.
Labor Signs: none, but i do have more cramps than I'd like to have.
Belly Button in or out? Still in
What I miss: coffee.
What I am looking forward to: Dr apt next Thursday when I'll get to hear it again. I'm a total nerd but I'm going to record the sound on my phone if they'll let me:)
Milestones: Well baby's kidneys function now and it can pee...lol It also can suck its thumb and has facial expressions. Woot!
Other: No throwing up for about 2 weeks now! Although I did gag this morning brushing my teeth but hey, nothing's perfect.

Old Navy Sale
For those who are interested, OldNavy.com is having a sale on maternity clothes for the next few days, they are really cute and pretty inexpensive. (Like shirts as low as $7.50, pants for $20). Plus if you sign up for their newsletter, you get $10 off your first purchase. Pretty good deal if I do say so myself:) I'm getting at least one pair of pants and a few shirts, since clothes really don't fit anymore (and surprisingly enough I have no maternity pants at all). Just thought I'd let you guys know!

Week 13

13 weeks
Your baby has reached the size of a medium shrimp and weighs nearly an ounce. (Length: almost 3 inches, head to bottom.)
I can't believe the 2nd trimester is here already. 1/3 of the way done. Time goes so fast. According to babycenter.com, where I get weekly email updates from, baby is now the size of a medium shrimp. 3 inches already. That's huge! lol I still need to make a list of things to get done by July, just to be safe.....
Hopefully here soon I will be able to post a belly picture, if I can find my camera:)
How far along? 13 weeks
Due Date: August 13, 2010
Total weight gain/loss: +1 from last week, which puts us at -3 from the start now
Total inches gain: Measuring around the biggest part about an inch or so below my belly button, I've gained, since the beginning, about 5 or so inches.
Maternity clothes? i've been thinking that I need to invest in a pair of pants...my jeans are fine if i'm standing, but sitting, no way.
Sleep: i have to be really careful about what position i'm in or i'm incredibly uncomfortable.
Best moment this week:I've definitely felt baby move now and it makes me happy:)
Movement: not all the time but I can totally tell that it's there
Food cravings: fruit. and Hinkley's doughnuts. so Doug bought me a box:) they were so good.
Food aversions: same as before
Gender: Kaety is convinced it is a girl
Labor Signs: None.
Belly Button in or out? Still in
What I miss: coffee.
What I am looking forward to: no more nausea.
Milestones: With the exception of Wednesday, I haven't thrown up in about a week or so.

Labor Signs: None.
Belly Button in or out? Still in
What I miss: caffeine. in a serious way.
What I am looking forward to: Morning sickness being done. Soon I hope, because it's getting really old.

Due Date: August 13, 2010 (and I don't really see this changing lol)
Total weight gain/loss: -1 since last week, -5 total.
Maternity clothes? this week I pulled out a sweater I got while pregnant with Logan. Uber comfortable and made me look huge lol
Sleep: What's that? It doesn't help that I'm sick now and can't breathe.
Best moment this week: Dr apt yesterday let me hear baby's heartbeat, 178 bpm. That puts me at less than a 2% chance of miscarriage. yay!
Movement: Bumps every now and then
Food cravings: fruit and carbs
Food aversions: pretty much the same.
Gender: Unknown.
Labor Signs: None.
Belly Button in or out? Still in
What I miss: not being so tired all the time
What I am looking forward to: One more week and we can share with everyone:)

10 Weeks
Well not a whole lot has changed since I started this thing but since a few things have, I'll just update those.
Food cravings: I have to add fruit to this list, not just apples. The mango I had last night was amazing.
Food aversions: it makes me sad but I can barely eat mustard anymore. The taste is incredibly strong, almost to the point of making it a no-go.
What I miss: being able to eat whatever I want without worrying about if it will make me sick or not, being able to get up in the morning without throwing up, sleeping all night without having to get up 6 times to pee.
What I'm looking forward to: My dr apt on Thursday, and hopefully the end of morning sickness sometime soon.
I only have to wait 2 more weeks before I know that we're in the clear and safe to get really excited. I can't wait:)

9.5 weeks, first post.
I've given in and decided to make a blog to track this pregnancy. That way whoever wants to read it can but doesn't have to see updates on Facebook if they don't want to. And I can keep track for myself of things that are happening. And because I'm not original, I'm using a basic entry layout that my friend Amy came up with to track the essentials:)
How far along? 9w4d
Due Date: August 13, 2010 (Which is a Friday and amuses me to no end)
Total weight gain/loss: Since my first Dr apt at 7w5d, I have lost 4 lbs
Maternity clothes? I've worn 2 shirts so far, and I'm in pj pants most of the time, as my regular pants are getting uncomfortable.
Sleep: Unfortunately I don't really sleep, I'm up about every 3 hours to pee, and I can't get comfortable. Laying on my stomach is already not an option.
Best moment this week: My morning sickness is going...down? I've only been throwing up once a day as opposed to twice.
Movement: Twinges
Food cravings: Apples, carbs, it was cheeseburgers but not so much anymore.
Food aversions: I can't eat raw onions, spaghetti sauce is hit or miss
Gender: Unknown.
Labor Signs: None.
Belly Button in or out? In, though I did have to switch my belly ring to a barbell. Already.
What I miss: coffee.
What I am looking forward to: My dr apt next week when they should be able to hear the heartbeat:)
Milestones: Ultrasound 2 weeks ago proved the baby was there, always a good thing.
